Thieves flee after being disturbed during Corby burglary

A gang of four men escaped with a safe and other items despite being disturbed after breaking into a house in Corby.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary

The victim returned to his house in Long Close, Corby, at about 8.25pm on Thursday, March 23, to find an Audi A3 RS parked near his house.

A police spokesman said: “He parked his car and heard the Audi’s horn beep, at which point four men ran from his house and got into it before the car made off.

“The offenders were all slim and wore dark clothing with wore scarves and hats, hiding their faces.

“It’s believed the car made off at speed along the A6003.”

A safe and other items were stolen during the burglary.
