A delighted Chris said: “I was very excited and pleasantly surprised to have won. There were some really strong entries and it is a real honour to get the Judges’ Choice award with such strong competition.

“The idea for my film started well over a year ago and is a light-hearted romantic comedy cartoon with a male and female character that has evolved from my free online web comic, ‘Black and White’,” he added.

Living in Daventry again after completing his honours degree at Bournemouth University in scriptwriting for film and television, his writing has led him to taking part in a national stand-up comedy competition in London and appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a comedy drama ‘Killing Bill Gates’ in 2010 which ran for the entire month of the festival.
