Following a year-long legal battle, Manolete Partners has now withdrawn its claims and is liable to pay Silverstone’s legal costs.

Philip Walker, a BRDC board member, said: “The BRDC feels fully vindicated for its robust stance in relation to this matter. In the circumstances, there was no justification for any claim against Silverstone.”

Clarion Solicitors’ partner and head of its dispute resolution team, Simon Young said: “It has been really satisfying to have been able to work closely with the Board of the BRDC to defeat what was a substantial claim.

“This was a genuine team effort that lifts a multi-million-pound threat from a business that is the guardian of this world famous British venue. Having overcome this hurdle, and under its new management team, I look forward to seeing Silverstone go from strength to strength,” Mr Young added.
