Rides being set up ahead of free Northampton Town Festival at the Racecourse

The event is taking place across the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of July on the Racecourse in Northampton and opening times are 10.30am to 11pm.

The funfair will be open from 5pm to 10pm on Friday, July 1, and is running a special offer of paying for one ride and a friend rides for free.

Spokeswoman Daniella Paolozzi said: “There’s a tantalising line up of entertainment, live music, local traders, a huge variety of food stalls, bars and we’re even bringing the balloons back to the Racecourse.

“It’s definitely not one to be missed, particularly with the size of the event - it’s going to be huge.”

The event is free to attend and will take place across the Racecourse and there will be up to 60,000 people attending over the course of the weekend.

The event is being hosted by Showtime Events group and is supported by Northampton Borough Council.
