Reports of anti-social behaviour leads to three-month closure notice for Kettering house
Police have obtained a three-month closure notice for a property in Oxford Street, Kettering, under section 76 and 77 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
The closure came after continued reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.
Officers worked with residents in the area and partners at Kettering Council to identify the cause of the problems and obtain the order.
The court also awarded costs against the evicted occupant.
The closure order came into force on Monday, August 1, and the council has now taken possession of the property.
Anybody found trespassing inside the house or in the front or rear gardens now faces arrest.
