Rare hand-built model with sentimental value stolen during burglary in Burton Latimer

A rare hand-built model with great sentimental value to its owners was stolen in a burglary in Churchill Way, Burton Latimer.

The 1:8 scale model of an Allchin Royal Chester, serial number SH207, was stolen in the burglary, which happened at about 8.40pm on Tuesday (May 31).

The model (pictured) is a one-of-a-kind piece and is of great sentimental value to its owners.

A police spokesman said: “It is believed that it may have been transported in a Land Rover Freelander, registration KG03 0JJ, which was also stolen from the property.

“Officers are urging anyone with information about the stolen model or the vehicle to contact police as soon as possible.”
