Pop star Tulisa Contostavlos helps bring a Ray of Sunshine to deserving children at Silverstone Circuit

Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos watched 50 children with serious illnesses take a trip in a Ferrari California T around Silverstone Circuit.

As a passionate ambassador for Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes to children living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, she was there to watch 50 deserving children enjoy oncein-a-lifetime thrill rides in a Ferrari California T.

Tulisa spent the morning chatting to the children, some of whom were overwhelmed to meet their idol. The chart topping star also posed for pictures, signed autographs and got behind the wheel of a Ferrari California T herself.

A spokeswoman said: “Aged from five upwards, the children had travelled from all over the UK to attend the Ferrari California T Experience.

“The day was much anticipated by the group, many of whom have been battling serious illness, coping with personal bereavement or acting as a carer to family members,” she said.

The event was also supported by BEN, which provides assistance, care and other support for families in the automotive industry who have suffered hardship, bereavement or serious illnesses.

“While each child took part in not one but two adrenaline-charged passenger rides with a professional driver at the wheel, their families enjoyed a programme of entertainment and activities within the Stowe Complex, courtesy of exciting event sponsors, including an incredible Lego mosaic,” the spokeswoman added.

Francesco Balli, Regional Manager for Ferrari North Europe, commented: “Today has been absolutely amazing. Tulisa was incredible, spending time talking to the children and signing autographs.

“We really can’t thank her and all our sponsors enough. Over the last six years we have entertained 300 exceptional children and we look forward to brightening the lives of many more in the years to come.”
