West Northamptonshire Council is the opportunity for a fresh start and bright future. Our unique blend of rural and urban life will be enhanced.

‘We will bring together the very best of Daventry, South Northants and Northampton town to create a place with its own character putting your needs at the front and centre of all the council does.

‘The Conservative manifesto is available at bit.ly/FreshStartBrightFuture setting out our plans. We are the only party with 93 candidates proving our commitment everywhere.

‘We must take action on the environment. We will encourage the take up of electric vehicles by allowing them free parking.

‘We will insist all new homes have car charging points and new industrial units have solar panels on the roofs. We will use our buying power to get greener deals in council procurement.

‘Environmental action is not a single party issue. We will hold a Climate Action Now Summit before the end of this year. All will be welcome to take part.

‘WNC will be the most environmentally friendly council you have ever had. For a green council, vote blue.

‘As your buying habits switch to online, our high streets must adapt. We will continue the regeneration of all our town centres and assist small business as our local high streets build back together. Strong local business is the key to attracting investment and tourism.

‘Adult Social Care will be critical post covid. We will work more closely with the NHS, local GPs and others to provide appropriate support for all who need help.

‘Our children in care will be given the best start in life. We will ensure the new arrangements improve their lives. We will deliver new schools and higher educational standards.

‘Local finances are strong and we will ensure open transparent and robust financial management.

‘Council tax will be set at the minimum level, support will be provided for those in hardship but we will be robust in collecting the council tax that is due.

‘None of this will be achieved by looking backwards. ‘
