Three major warehouses and distribution units near M1 in Northampton gain planning permission
The buildings will be constructed on the western half of a site that neighbours the A4500 and the Red Lion truckstop.
The application was granted outline planning permission in September 2016, but the appearance, scale, layout and access were granted in a reserved matters application at South Northamptonshire Council last week (February 6). It forms the second phase of development on the site.

But Kislingbury Parish Council had raised objections to the plans, as it said one of the buildings exceeded the 40,000 square metre limit set out in the Core Strategy planning policy for the area. It also argued that the height of one of the buildings, at 23 metres, was not in keeping with the location.
But SNC planning officers said the scheme will ‘deliver more jobs and assist in growing the local economy it is considered that the development is acceptable in this regard’.
Councillors quickly waved through the scheme when they met at The Forum in Towcester.
