A proposal to build another 85 homes instead of a park and ride scheme and care home at a large housing development near Northampton has been recommended for approval.
Northamptonshire County Council wants to change its plans for Buckton Fields, which has been allocated for 1,050 properties in total.

There would also be a hectare of employment land, half a hectare smaller than originally planned, and public open space on the land off Welford Road near Boughton.
Daventry District Council's planning officer says: "The proposed development would comply with the development plan in all material respects and there are no material considerations that would indicate otherwise.
"The absence of a five-year housing land supply in the Northampton related development area is a material consideration that would weigh in favour of the proposed development.

The principle of the development was agreed in 2011 so there are no objections to this application but concerns have been raised about the lack of community facilities by Boughton Parish Council.
Councillors will discuss the proposal during a planning committee on Wednesday (February 10).
