Northampton cricket club applies for new alcohol and entertainment licence

A Northampton cricket club has applied for a new premises licence for selling alcohol and hosting regulated entertainment throughout the week.

St Crispin & Harlestone Cricket Club, based at St Crispin Drive, Northampton, NN5 4DT, has submitted an application under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003 to West Northamptonshire Council.

If approved, the licence permits the supply of alcohol on the premises and regulated entertainment from 5pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 5pm to midnight on Fridays, 12 noon to midnight on Saturdays and noon to 10pm on Sundays.

The proposed opening hours extend slightly beyond those times. The club has applied to open until 11.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10.30pm on Sundays.

The application means the club would be able to host social events and serve alcohol to members and visitors within those hours, subject to any conditions imposed by the council.

As part of the statutory process, residents and businesses in the St Crispin area are being given the opportunity to comment on the proposals.

Representations must be made in writing to the licensing team at West Northants Council, One Angel Square, Northampton, NN1 1ED. Submissions can also be made by email to [email protected].

All representations must be received before March 11, 2026.
