A missing man was found safe after the regional police helicopter was scrambled to look for him in the Desborough area yesterday afternoon (Monday).

The National Police Air Service chopper was drafted in to back up officers on the ground searching for the man after the alarm was raised.

The man is now receiving support after he was found near Kelmarsh at about 5pm.
