Police officers were called to reports of a late night disturbance in Northampton last night (May 17).

Northamptonshire Police received reports of seven to eight people arguing loudly outside an address in Beechcroft Gardens, off Beech Avenue in Abington.

Officers were deployed to the area after receiving calls at 11.25pm, but when they arrived they found that the incident was not as it was originally reported.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “At 11.25pm last night we received reports of 7-8 people arguing loudly outside an address Beechcroft Gardens.

“We deployed but it didn’t seem to be as first reported and there was no disturbance when we arrived.”
