A large police presence was spotted in a Northampton street this weekend.

Police were called to an address in Dallington Road, Dallington on Saturday evening (July 4) over concerns for a woman's welfare.

The air ambulance was also called to the scene and landed in a playing field near to Tintern Avenue.

Sadly the woman died. Her death is not being treat as suspicious.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Northamptonshire Police were called to an address in Dallington Road, Northampton, at about 5.45pm on Saturday, July 4, following concerns for the welfare of a woman.

"Sadly, the woman passed away. Her death is not being treated as suspicious."
