Police officers have been called to a fight between two men outside a pub in Northampton town centre.

A marked police car and two unmarked vehicles were seen outside the Guildhall at around 4pm today (March 11).

Northamptonshire Police were called to the town centre due to an incident outside The Auctioneers in Market Square.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "There was a fight between two men around 4pm outside The Auctioneers in Market Square.

"One has been arrested for common assault."
