Glennis Hooper, founder of the Wellingborough-based charity which raises money to improve breast cancer cancer care at Kettering and Northampton general hospitals, said: “Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s walk.

“What an amazing day, and the sun shone.

“We hope you enjoyed this year’s walk as much as we did.

“All the hard work in putting the walk on was undoubtedly worth it, the smiles on the faces of the 2,000 who joined us proved that.

“Huge thanks to you all and sincere thanks to all our volunteer helpers, supporters and sponsors.”

Among this year’s winners were the Masala Queens for the largest family team, Vicky Kirk for the craziest adult hat and Buddy took the hat crown for the dog entries.
