Two young brothers from Northampton are raising money for the NHS by cycling 300km in 30 days - with the finishing line almost in sight.

Jack Kirchin, nine, and his brother Harry, seven, wanted to support the health service after being inspired by Sir Tom Moore's incredible fundraising in April.

Having spent more time cycling during the coronavirus lockdown, they decided to put their endurance to the test with the challenge throughout June.

Their mother, Lyndsey Kirchin, said: "My eldest son wanted to raise money for the 'nuss' as he called it, meaning the NHS.

"They're both quite sporty, they both play rugby for Northampton Old Scouts RUFC, but with the lockdown they wanted to stay active so they have been going out on their bikes with their dad, Sam.

"We've been impressed with how far they've gone so we thought it would be a good way to raise money, we helped them decide the distance and off they went."

Lyndsey said her sons have been going out nearly every day, weather depending, to rack up 279km so far as well as £221 in donations. To donate, click here.
