West Northamptonshire community groups invited to apply for grants of up to £15,000

Community groups and charities across West Northamptonshire are being invited to apply for grants of up to £15,000 to help deliver projects that support local residents.

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) has launched its latest round of Discretionary Community Funding Grants, aimed at helping voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations provide services that meet local needs.

The funding is available to registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and VCFSE groups that already operate, or plan to operate, within West Northamptonshire.

Applicants will need to demonstrate how their project supports one or more of the council's key priorities, including the One West Northamptonshire Plan, the Joint Health and Wellbeing Board Strategy, the Community Safety Partnership Plan and the Anti-Poverty Strategy.

The latest funding round follows last year's programme, which saw grants awarded to 41 organisations to strengthen community services across the area.

Councillor Charlie Hastie, deputy leader of West Northamptonshire Council and cabinet member for housing and communities, said: "Our voluntary and community groups play a vital role in supporting residents and strengthening communities across West Northamptonshire.

"They understand local needs and can respond quickly to make a real difference. We're proud to support their work through this funding and encourage all eligible organisations to apply before the deadline."

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday, July 28.

Further information, including the eligibility criteria and Community Funding Grants Framework, is available on the West Northamptonshire Council website. Organisations can also request an application form and guidance by emailing [email protected]
