Lee Duggan, of L D Home Improvement Ltd, is asking for people to nominate a friend or family member who is in need of a room renovation.

The prize will be a single room makeover at a property within a 15-mile radius of Northampton to the value of £2020 - to mark the year 2020 - which will include all materials and labour costs.

The competition will run until September 30 when one winner will be chosen by a random generator in mid-October.

He said: "I have had my own business for four years next week. I have decided at the end of this year to try and give a little back.

"The competition is for people who have had a bad year, for someone with a disability or illness and I've asked for people to nominate somebody and the reasons why they deserve the prize."

So far, three people have nominated a loved one but Lee wants to spread the word further.

Terms and conditions include: The one-room-only project must be carried out between December 14 and December 18, 2020.

There can only be one entry per person, the nominee must live in a 15-mile radius of Northampton and the prize cannot be redeemed for goods or cash alternatives.
