The Cobblers' ground is rearranging a date the charity football match, in aid of Northamptonshire Young Carers and the Northampton Town Community Trust, will take place.

All football in England has been postponed until April 30 due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, which means the scheduled charity celebrity match has been postponed on April 19.A spokesman for Cobblers said: "We will be looking to re-arrange the game, sponsored by Grange Mortgages and in aid of Northamptonshire Young Carers and the Northampton Town Community Trust for a future date, so please keep your tickets safe, they will be valid for the re-arranged game.

"When a new date for the game is known, if you can’t make the new date, details of how to claim a refund will be announced."

Set to appear in the game are Eastenders actors Jake Wood (Max Branning), Dean Gaffney (Robbie Jackson) and Danny-Boy Hatchard (Lee Carter) and Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning).

Donning a charity shirt are also Love Island cast members including Sam Gowland, Dom Lever and Marvin Brooks - just to name a few - as well as Lee Ryan from Blue and Nev Wilshire from BBC TV's The Call Centre.

Last year the charity match funds were donated to the Northampton Town Community Trust and Archie's Army, which paid for Archie Kambanis of Duston to have a post-surgery bed.

In previous years, the annual football match has seen celebrities on the sidelines including Katie Price and Alan Carr.
