The population of Northampton rose by one per cent between 2014 and 2019, according to the Office for National Statistics

But some wards have seen the number of people living there explode over the last five years of available data.

Here are the top 10 increases in the borough (images are for illustration purposes only).

1. Upton

The population of Castle increased by 16.14 per cent from 2014 to 2019, from 15,164 people to 17,611
