The suspect in the crash that killed Northamptonshire's Harry Dunn is now the subject of an Interpol Red Notice, it has been reported this evening.

Anne Sacoolas is suspected of causing death by dangerous driving and has been the focus of a concerted campaign by Harry's family ever since her involvement emerged in the crash near RAF Croughton on August 27.

Mrs Sacoolas fled the country claiming diplomatic immunity, a claim disputed by the family and their representatives. They have carried out a high-profile campaign to bring her back to the country.

Earlier this evening it was reported by Sky News that Mrs Sacoolas was now wanted "internationally" through the Red Notice, which means that she will immediately be arrested should she leave the United States. America has resisted all moves to extradite Mrs Sacoolas back to the UK to face justice.

The family spokesman for the Dunns, Radd Seiger, confirmed the latest development on social media.

"I can confirm that Northamptonshire Police have informed me this afternoon that an Interpol Red Notice has been circulated worldwide in respect of #annesacoolas. This means she would be arrested should she attempt to leave the USA.

"It is time for her to come back to the UK and on behalf of the family I urge the authorities in both London and Washington to make that happen. It is time to do the right thing," he said.

Northamptonshire Police issued a statement following the development: "“Northamptonshire Police's involvement in this case has concluded and the file of evidence was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service.

"This matter now rests with the extradition unit and as this is a live case, it would be inappropriate for Northamptonshire Police to comment any further.”
