Stunned Northampton residents capture their shock on video as tornado tears through countryside

Dozens of stunned residents have shared their shocked reaction to the tornado that blew through Northampton yesterday.
A small twister tore a path through the north of the town during the stormy weather at around 8pm on Saturday (July 26).

Hide AdThe tornado is understood to have formed near Weedon Bec and pushed east through Northamptonshire near Lower Harlestone, Chapel Brampton and Moulton.
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the freak weather and there have been no reports of damage to houses - but the community at Moulton Allotments have been left to pick up the pieces today after the twister wreaked havoc on residents' gardens.Now, dozens of residents have sent their videos to the Chronicle & Echo of the tornado as it passed near them.
Many eyewitnesses could only watch in shock as it flung debris into the air, "decimated" trees and skirted only a few hundred metres from where they stood.
It came after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain earlier on Saturday.
