Homes without power in Northamptonshire
Western Power Distribution reporting that there are 40 properties without power between Teeton and Creaton. They say the following postcodes are affected - NN6 8RG, NN6 8RD, NN6 8RF, NN6 8RB, NN6 8RQ, NN6 8RE, NN6 8RH, NN6 8RS, NN6 8RN. They say it should be resolved in by 3pm today. About 17 homes in West Farndon are also without power. This should be sorted by 4pm.

Emergency shelter for rough sleepers available until Monday
West Northants Council has extended its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol until at least 9am on Monday. If you know someone who is sleeping rough and needs access to the accommodation, tell them to contact 0300 126 7000.
Train lines blocked between Northampton and London due to “multiple incidents"
Network Rail says all train lines are blocked between Northampton and London Euston — and are expected to stay that way for hours.
A tweet at just after 12.30pm said: “Due to multiple incidents caused by Storm Eunice, train services from London Euston are currently suspended Engineers are working in a number of locations on the route. Advice is do not travel today.
Reports of fallen trees blocking roads are starting to come in across the county
Reports are starting to reach us of fallen trees around the county. One in Kenmuir Avenue, Northampton, had fallen into the garden of a house. Another is across Station Road, Finedon.
Power outage affecting properties in Daventry
Western Power Distribution says it have turned off electricity supplies to some properties in Daventry for ‘safety reasons.’
Postcodes affected by this incident are NN11 8ST, NN11 8SU, NN11 8SY
A spokesman said: “For safety reasons, we have had to isolate the supplies in your local area we hope to have this restored by 2pm.”
Another 470 properties in the Spratton are also without power, possibly until 4pm, due to a problem with the overhead network.
Power has been restored to around 1,000 properties in Northampton affected by an earlier outage.

The highest wind gust recorded at the Met Office weather station at Pitsford during February was 59.5mph on February 9, 2020.
The highest since the station started recording weather in 1998 was 70mph October27, 2002.
So far today, the station has clocked a 53.7 mph gust at 11:20 .. but there’s almost certainly going to be more to come.
70-80mph gusts predicted from noon onwards
Latest computer modelling from wxcharts.com shows gusts upwards of 70mph are likely to start blowing through from the south west from noon today. The light purple colours represents gust of between 100kph and 120kph
An update from West Northamptonshire Council
The current winds across West Northants are expected to get stronger by early this afternoon, so please stay cautious and do not travel today unless really necessary.
We are expecting disruption today and a multi-agency response is under way to prepare for this.
- For dangerous/fallen trees, debris on the road or damaged buildings, call 999 if an emergency and life threatening or call 101. You can also report online anything that’s not an immediate danger via Street Doctor on our website.
- For power cuts, please call 105
- If you do need to travel, please take extra care, be cautious when passing high-sided vehicles on open roads, try to stick to main roads and be aware of unexpected debris around corners.
- Secure or store away loose items in your garden to stop them from getting blown away or damaged.
- Check on elderly and vulnerable relatives and neighbours
- Northampton, Brackley and Daventry markets are closed today.
- Waste collections are currently running as normal, however please avoid visiting the household waste recycling centres unless necessary.
- Brixworth country park is closed – if you are visiting our other local parks please keep away from heavily wooded areas and stick to the main paths.
- Mobile covid vaccination units are not taking place today

Two lanes are closed off on the M1 due to an ‘obstruction'
Traffic cameras on the M1 northbound are showing the two outside lanes are coned off while officers deal with an obstruction. Queues are building around junction 16.
