The huge 100ft special shape hot air balloon is a project by sports nutrition brand Grenade to 'spread a message of positivity and a raise a smile'.

Members of the public are encouraged to share their photos with the hashtag #GrenadeEnergy to Grenades social media platforms and in return goodies are to be won.

The balloon will be in the air for around 5:30pm, setting off from the north of the town, so residents should have their eyes peeled and cameras ready to snap the balloon as it flies above.

The balloon has already been spotted in Stoke On Trent, York, Banbury and Telford in the last few weeks.

The exact launch site of the balloon is being kept under wraps to 'ensure social distancing'.

It comes as Grenade, who sell protein bars and support supplements, have just released a new energy drink for their tenth anniversary.

Adam Faulkner, aeronaut, said the prizes range from protein bars, sweatshirts or drinks.: "There's a big thing at the minute to celebrate positive energy and we are going round the UK cities and towns.

"The idea is people come out, take pictures of the balloon and share them with us on social media and Grenade chooses five winners in each area who will be sent goodies."
