Second ‘home from home’ nursery now open in Northampton to meet demand from families
A new nursery, which is the second in a Northampton chain and is described as a “home from home environment”, has opened to meet the demand from families.
The Redbrick Day Nursery opened its 70-place facility in Kingswell Road on Monday (October 14).
The modern nursery aims to provide high quality childcare and a safe and nurturing environment for children – from when they are babies to school age.
Due to the overwhelming demand at their existing nursery in Welford Road, Kingsthorpe, which is near capacity, the team saw the ideal opportunity to expand and meet the needs of the community.
The Redbrick Day Nursery was first established in May 2016, when the founder had young children of her own and felt no nursery could cater to their needs. After she sadly passed away more than two years ago, Jacky Bufton took over the directorship of the business.
When asked what feedback the team has received over the past eight years, Jacky said: “The families are very complimentary about the home-from-home environment and natural resources that spark curiosity.”
The team was pleased to be named one of the top 20 nurseries in the region by Day Nurseries, and the only one in the county to make the list.
Jacky believes families should choose Redbrick due to their “wonderful facilities” and the fact staff members can empathise with working parents as they have children themselves.
The director says the young people have a “fantastic time” and parents are kept up-to-date with pictures on a daily basis.
Off the back of the opening of the new nursery, the team hopes to continue building on the positive reputation they have worked hard for.
The Kingswell Road facility is equipped with CCTV throughout and has secure gardens, offering children the chance to enjoy outdoor play in a safe environment.
With a focus on learning through awe and wonder, the team has designed their own curriculum that they believe promotes curiosity and creativity throughout each stage of development.
The Redbrick Day Nursery operates from 8am until 6pm each weekday all year round and is fully inclusive – providing meals, nappies and wipes at no extra cost.
Families are invited to visit the nursery at an open morning event from 10am until 12.30pm on November 2.
