A Northamptonshire animal charity say they are "desperately" trying to find a home for two elderly cats who should be "spending their twilight years in a loving home".
Brothers Leon and Nikita find themselves in care at the RSPCA Northamptonshire branch at the grand age of 21.
The two are inseparable but now find themselves without a home to spend their remaining days and are in need of somewhere to spend their retirement.
They are both in fairly good health but Nikita has just been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. He will need blood tests over the next few weeks/months at the charity's vets to check how he is responding to medication.
Animal care supervisor Michelle Billingham said: "They are just such lovely cars and at 21 years old they just should not be in rescue.
"Due to their age, we are keen to get these lovely boys settled into a new home ASAP. Leon and Nikita are an affectionate pair who enjoy chin tickles and human company. They are looking for a quiet home with no children. The branch will offer support post-adoption while Nikita's condition is stabilising so we are looking for a home within Northamptonshire.
"If you think you can offer these special boys the retirement home they need, please get in touch."
