Queen's Birthday Honours List 2020: Every recipient of an award from Her Majesty from Northamptonshire

A prison governor, a head teacher and a chief nurse are among 12 people from Northamptonshire to feature on the 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours list this evening (Friday, October 9).

The county has three new officers (OBE), three members (MBE) and six medallists (BEM) of the Order of the British Empire in the list which was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Susan Marie Doolan, from Kettering, is among those to receive an OBE for services to Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service during Covid-19 as lately governor at HMP Littlehey.

As well as Nigel Lugg, from Harringworth, the chairman of UK Fashion and Textiles Association, for services to the fashion and textiles industries.

And Janet Claire Thompson, from Badby, for services to education as head teacher at Dorothy Goodman School in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Those to receive MBEs, Ellen Marie Falkner, from Kettering, receives one for services to lawn bowls and Jack McGuire, from Yelvertoft, for services to vulnerable people during the pandemic.

Josie Rudman, from Lutton, also gets one for services to nursing, patient experience and patient safety while chief nurse at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridgeshire.

For BEMs, Kathleen Anne Forsyth, from Great Billing, earns a medal for services to the Northamptonshire Festival of Dance as does Enid Elizabeth Freeman for services to older people as the chairman of Duston Old People's Welfare Association.

Northampton General Hospital has two BEM recipients for services to the NHS during Covid-19: head of volunteer services Emma Wimpress and volunteer Peter Ryan.

Lastly, Brian Keech, from Kettering, is another for services to the community in Cranford as well as Wilfrid Blake Stimpson, for services to the community in Brackley.
