Popular Northampton pub to host charity car wash this weekend

A Northampton pub is set to host a charity car wash this weekend to raise money for a children's hospital.

The Turnpike Beefeater team will be cleaning cars on Saturday (June 20) in a bid to raise more money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Staff from the Weedon Road pub, near Harpole, have been supporting the charity throughout lockdown by hosting virtual quizzes for its customers.

Now team members will be grabbing a sponge and loads of car soap to scrub plenty of vehicles clean.

The event will take place between 11am and 3pm on the pub's car park and will be organised with social distancing measures in place to keep customers safe.

The car wash will be priced at £5 per vehicle.
