Plans for new padel tennis centre in Northampton included in latest list of applications

A new padel tennis centre at Delapré Golf Centre and a temporary industrial storage building in Northampton are among the latest planning applications submitted to West Northamptonshire Council.

The proposals are included in the council's latest weekly list of planning applications, with both classed as major developments.

At Delapré Golf Centre on Eagle Drive, applicants are seeking permission to build a new padel tennis centre featuring three indoor and two outdoor courts. The scheme also includes associated facilities and a reconfigured car park.

Elsewhere, plans have been submitted for the erection of a temporary industrial storage building at 52 Caswell Road, Northampton, for use within Use Class B8.

A two-storey rear extension has been proposed for Westholme on King Street in Maidford, while West Haddon Endowed Church of England Primary School has submitted plans for a single-storey rear extension to its preschool building.

In Northampton town centre, an application has been submitted to convert and partially rebuild an existing outbuilding at 6 Langham Place into a two-bedroom, three-person home, with parking accessed through an existing carport.

Meanwhile, at Hartwell End House on Hanslope Road in Hartwell, plans have been lodged to install photovoltaic solar panels on the rear roof slope of an existing carport, along with additional ground-mounted solar panels behind it.

The applications can be viewed on the West Northamptonshire Council planning portal, with members of the public able to submit comments within 21 days of the notice's publication, excluding bank and public holidays.
