Residents of a Northamptonshire caravan site who have nowhere else to live have now been told they are allowed to stay on site.

Earlier today, residents at Overstone Lakes were given a letter stating they needed to be off the site by 4pm today (March 24) as the site needed to close following orders from the Government about the coronavirus pandemic.

Many residents were upset and stressed by this as they deemed the caravan site to be their permanent home.

Now Allen Caravans has sent an update letter to residents to tell them they can stay on site.

The letter said: “If you have written to us by any means over the last few days to advise us of your reasons why you cannot vacate your holiday home.

“As per advice from the MPs, Government and the BH & HPA, you can remain in your holiday home.”

Those who do have another address that is available and they can get to it, are still being asked to leave.
