Only Fools and Horses star one of two famous faces coming to Northampton’s The Deco

Two famous faces will appear at The Deco Theatre within five days of each other.

Only Fools and Horses star John Challis is heading to Northampton with his tour ‘Only Fools and Boycie’.

The actor will host an intimate evening with his audience when he will talk all about the show and his fictional character.

The 78-year-old is looking forward to sharing anecdotes about his time on the iconic BBC sitcom, but also from the rest of his career that has seen him appear in shows including Z-Cars, Coronation Street, Doctor Who and more recently Benidorm.

He said: “I’ve had 50 remarkable years in the business, and I love touring the country sharing my stories, meeting so many people along the way, and reminiscing with the audience about the things we all enjoyed. We have many laughs while doing so.”

Also heading to The Deco is maths wizard Johnny Ball.

The TV presenter will star in ‘Wonders Beyond Numbers’, his tour that showcases his passion and enthusiasm for maths.

The 81-year-old said: “In the show, I am quite motivational in ensuring that young people and their parents understand that ‘the world is not going to hell in a hand cart’, and that anything we get wrong, we can correct - it is what the human race does and has always done throughout history.

“Although my show is about maths, it has items and ideas throughout aimed at restoring children's confidence, and that of their parents and teachers - which is essential if they are to have happy and successful careers.”

Johnny’s show will take to The Deco’s stage on Saturday March 28 and then

‘Only Fools and Boycie’ will be at the theatre on Wednesday April 1.
