Savannah is Northampton's young sprinting superstar, who in 2018 clocked the fasted sprinting time for 10-year-old.

Before the outbreak, Savannah was competing against sprinters two years older than her at the England championships and brought home a silver at the Midland championship while competing against Y9 students.

However, when races are scheduled again, Savannah will compete in the next league in the Under-15s bracket - but after weeks of training int he lockdown, she's ready for the challenge.

She said: "When the lockdown started I was like 'yes, no school, I can train all day!' But eventually my tutors told me I had to get back to work.

"I'm really excited to be in the Under-15s league. Most of the competitions for Under-13s were a bit limited.

"It's a bit scary but I get the chance to race against older girls and there are a lot more competitions."

Savannah is now training for an extended season that should be held in September where she will face her greatest competition yet.
