Northampton’s annual music festival postponed following Coronavirus lockdown
A Northampton town centre summer music festival has been pushed back because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Northampton Music Festival's was set to take place across multiple stages on June 27in the town centre.

Hide AdBut now, organisers have decided to reschedule the festival until September 20.
NMF director Graham Roberts said: “At this difficult and challenging time we want to reach out and reassure our community that your health and wellbeing are always our priority.
“After careful consideration we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the festival with a view to eliminating risk for all concerned.”
This year’s festival is due to include eight stages across seven different locations.

Hide AdThe main stage will again be in the Market Square with stages returning to the Guildhall Courtyard, All Saints Piazza, Abington Street and the University of Northampton’s Student Union, The Platform.
There is also set to be a stage at the new Guildhall Hotel in Guildhall Road and two at Northampton Museum.
Each year, the free festival aims to showcase and celebrate musicians and performers from all genres and attracts thousands of people into Northampton’s town centre.
Mr Roberts added: “We will continue to post on social media to ensure you are updated with the latest information as well as offering musical distraction to lighten your spirits.”
