A housing association is helping its residents through the pandemic by sending out packets of seeds.

Northampton Partnership Homes (NPH) is hoping the seeds will spread joy and hope and help residents stay on top of their mental health.

The free packets of seeds are being offered to NPH residents and community groups so they can be sprinkled in gardens, or planted in plant pots or old tins.

As the seeds grow, residents are encouraged to share a photo and help spread the joy of plants throughout the neighborhood.

Anna Thorpe, NPH resident involvement officer said: “We know how stressful recent times have been for many of our residents, and that lots of people have been finding comfort in their gardens and in wildlife.

“Growing things is great for our mental health and for the environment, so we want to help people bring the great outdoors a little closer to home.”
