Northampton football club celebrates completion of new stand to take it to the next level

The sports world may be temporarily halted but will not stop a Northampton football club celebrating the completion of a new stand.

Moulton FC is looking forward to filling its new 80-seater stand once the football season returns and the world goes back to normal after the coronavirus pandemic.

As well as providing a dedicated area for spectators on match and training days with protection from the weather, the stand also fulfils criteria for the club to compete at higher levels.

The Brunting Road ground's newest addition was built thanks to a £26,000 donation from Great Billing construction firm Mick George Group.

Treasurer Martyn Clipston said: ‘’This upgrade represents a significant part of the club's history, as it means we can increase competitive participation at a higher level, while offering a genuine progression route from youth to senior football without the need to move clubs.

"We’re very grateful to the Mick George Group for their contribution.’’
