Northampton company starts initiative to donate ice cream to homeless people to help 'brighten days'
A Northampton company has started an initiative to donate ice cream to homeless people, in a bid to “brighten their days”.
Gallones Ice Cream is supporting the homeless community in town by donating ice cream to those in need.
The initiative saw Gallones take one of their ice cream vans to The Hope Centre in Campbell Square, where they handed out free sweet treats to those in need, showing the company’s commitment to not only serving treats but also making a meaningful difference within the community it calls home.
The Hope Centre says the initiative is helping to “brighten days and show solidarity with some of the most vulnerable members of society”.

Lee Dimmer, owner of Gallones Ice Cream, said: “We believe that even a small gesture can have a powerful impact.
“Ice cream is often associated with happiness and togetherness, and we wanted to share that feeling with people who may be going through difficult times.”
A spokesperson for The Hope Centre added: “This effort highlights the importance of businesses giving back and working together to support those in need. By choosing to donate their products, Gallones Ice Cream is not only offering a refreshing treat but also sending a strong message of care, dignity, and inclusion.
“We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Gallones Ice Cream for their kindness, generosity, and dedication to making a positive impact. Their actions serve as an inspiring example of how local businesses can play a vital role in strengthening communities.”
