A Northampton family are offering a reward in the hope getting their pet parrot back after it flew away on Sunday (April 5).

Zina Nazarova and her daughter were enjoying the warm evening in their garden on Military Road, near The Racecourse, when the African grey parrot called Evin escaped at around 8pm.

They have put signs up to raise awareness but are yet to find Evin - Zina does not think she would have gone far though.

"My daughter was crying and I was really upset too," she said.

"I hope she is still alive and maybe someone found her and will give her back once they realise.

"But I'm worried about her if someone else keeps her as she's an exotic bird and needs different food and medicine."

Zina has owned Evin for two years and is part of the family, she knows how to say 'hello', the dog's name and can mimic sounds around the house.

Anyone with information should call Zina on 07703 635277.
