Missing man sadly found dead in Kettering

The body of a man who was reported missing in September has sadly been found in Kettering.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but detectives from Northants Police believe the man to be 41-year-old Marc Hoodless from Desborough.

Marc was reported missing on September 22 and following extensive enquiries and searches, was sadly found dead in woodland by a specialist police search team on Saturday, November 29.

Investigating officers say they are satisfied that there are ‘no suspicious circumstances’ surrounding his death and will be preparing a report for the Coroner.

“This has been a really hard time for all of us but we are grateful for the police’s professionalism and care. We have been treated with dignity since the beginning and for that we are very thankful.”

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Peters added: “This is a very sad case, and our thoughts are with Marc’s family and loved-ones who have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
