Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to about a road rage incident in Rothwell.

The appeal comes after a man was knocked off his bike and assaulted, leaving him injured and his bicycle damaged on February 25, 2021.

A still image of the person Northants Police would like to speak to has been released in an attempt to identify the man.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Police officers investigating an assault in Rushton Road, Rothwell have released an image of a man who they believe may have information about the road rage incident.

"The incident happened between 10.45am and 10.55am on Thursday, February 25, when a cyclist was knocked off his bike and assaulted, causing injuries to him and damage to his bicycle.

"Officers investigating the incident believe this man may be able to assist with their enquiries and are appealing for him or anyone who may recognise him, to get in touch."
