Kettering comedian James Acaster odds on for top five finish in Celebrity Traitors

Predictions by a betting company have Kettering comedian James Acaster odds on for a top five finish in this year’s Celebrity Traitors.

The latest predictions have revealed that James has a 10 per cent probability of winning, with entertainment betting experts OLBG giving him a ranking of 5th overall of the 21 famous faces taking part.

If James overturns the odds and takes the Celebrity Traitors 2026 crown, it would complete a Northamptonshire double for the show after county-born Alan Carr’s victory last year.

Jake Ashton from OLBG said: “The Traitors markets are always fascinating because bookmakers aren’t just pricing popularity, but trying to predict who can actually manage the psychological side of the game.”

It has been reported that the series has wrapped up filming, with the show set to broadcast this Autumn.

Irish comedian Joanne McNally heads the betting at 6/1. Known for her sharp wit, observational humour, and podcast success, bookmakers appear to believe she possesses the ideal skillset for navigating the social deception and strategic gameplay that defines Celebrity Traitors.

The second celebrity version of the show will consist of ten hour-long episodes with the celebrities – presenters, comedians, actors and musicians – split into traitors and faithfuls to play the murderous game.

The first celebrity series saw 15.4 million people watch a giggling Alan Carr emerge victorious and win £100,000 for charity.

Singer James Blunt sits second in the betting, while actors Bella Ramsey and Michael Sheen are both priced at 7/1 following strong early support.

Maya Jama’s inclusion at 8/1 is also likely to attract attention, particularly given her popularity with younger audiences and strong media profile.

Comedy stars dominate much of the market with James Acaster leading Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan, and Rob Beckett in the odds.

The full cast is Joanne McNally, James Blunt, Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, Maya Jama, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Jerry Hall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Miranda Hart, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Ross Kemp, Richard E. Grant, Sebastian Croft, Professor Hannah Fry, Amol Rajan, Myha'la, Sharon Rooney and King Kenny.
