Jon Richardson announces Northampton leg of new UK tour

Another 8 out of 10 Cats star is heading to Northampton on their UK tour.

Jon Richardson, who is infamous for winning points on the comedy show’s Countdown spin-off, is heading out on a solo autumn tour this year.

The funnyman will entertain audiences in at least 35 towns and cities across the country, including Northampton.

The tour, entitled ‘The Knitwit’, will visit the Royal & Derngate on Saturday October 3.

Jon’s last tour, 'The Old Man', toured in 2017/2018 and when he also visited fans in Northampton with a show at the Royal & Derngate.

Jimmy Carr, Jon's fellow 8 out of 10 Cats star, will also play two shows in Northampton in 2020.

The announcement of Jon's tour comes just before the start of the comedian’s new TV show, with his wife and fellow stand-up Lucy Beaumont.

The Dave sitcom, called ‘Meet the Richardsons’, will air on February 28.

Members of the Royal & Derngate will be able to secure priority tickets for Jon’s show from tomorrow (February 13) when the box office opens at 10am.

The remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Friday (February 14) at 10am.

The theatre has not yet revealed how much the tickets will cost.
