Investigation launched after car crashes into house in Northampton

An incident in Northampton last night is being probed by police

Northamptonshire Police were called to a street near Dallington last night, just before 8pm, after they had received reports of a two-car-crash, which caused damage to a house.

It happened when a blue VW Polo was driving up Baring Road and when the driver exited onto Lewis Road they hit a blue Hyundai Getz, which then crashed into a house in Lewis Road.

A spokeswoman for the force today (Tuesday) told the Chronicle & Echo that the bonnet of the car had entered into the front room of the house, causing structural damage to the property.

Police officers from the force are now investigating how the incident took place.
