Junior, known as @juniorbearpug on social media, was invited to the prestigious dog show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from Match 5 to March 8, as a content creator and influencer.

The pug, whose owner - Michelle Wilson – runs Teddy’s Doggy Day Care in Newport Pagnell Road, had to undergo an official health assessment with the Kennel Club after the show introduced stricter rules on flat-faced breeds with severe breathing problems.

Junior received a certificate confirming that he has healthy airways and clear breathing, which allowed him to be granted behind-the-scenes access as a special guest.

During the event, Junior and Michelle met TV personality Pete Wicks, presenter Amanda Holden and social media sensation Good Boy Ollie, who even followed Junior on Instagram after their meeting. The popular pug was also photographed for an online feature with Vogue.

Michelle said the experience was “unforgettable”.

"When we received the invite I had to double check it was genuine! I was so honoured and didn't take it lightly. I am very lucky to be blessed with such a happy, healthy little dog,” Junior’s owner added.

“Crufts is the biggest dog show in the world, so to be invited as a content creator was incredible. Junior brought so many smiles to people’s faces while we were there. Seeing people stop, laugh and take photos of him was really special.”

@juniorbearpug has 36,000 followers on Instagram.
