The popular event returned on Saturday and Sunday (September 12 and 13), with visitors turning out to follow the scarecrow trail and enjoy a packed programme of entertainment.
Chronicle & Echo photographer Kirsty Edmonds went along on Saturday and captured the festival.
Scarecrows were displayed across the village, with different streets taking on their own themes.
This year's themes included Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, children's books, celebrations around the world and Monopoly.
There was plenty going on alongside the scarecrow trail, including live music, children's entertainment, science experiments, alpacas, bouncy castles, food stalls and charity stalls.
The festival committee said afterwards: "Well what an incredible weekend – an awesome turnout and a great selection of scarecrows to see.
“We really hope everyone had a great time. We really are super proud of everyone’s efforts and hope you all come back again."
Visitors were quick to praise the organisers and volunteers after the weekend.
One attendee said: "It was such a lovely day. Thanks for all the hard work to make a brilliant event."
One visitor said: "Well done all of you, you really pulled the village together to put on an amazing show. All your hard work has paid off."
Another said: "We had a great day out Saturday. We really liked the different themes for each street. Well done to everyone involved."
The festival was first held in 1997 and this year's event was the 29th.
The festival is organised by volunteers, with money raised going back into the village and supporting local organisations and charities.
