'I don't know how they managed it': Car flips on its roof at entrance of Northampton General Hospital

Northampton General Hospital's Billing Road entrance was blocked today after a car flipped onto its roof in a dramatic crash.

The grey Honda Civic ended up on its roof on the Billing Road entrance at around 3.40pm on March 13.

Photographs taken from the scene show the nearby NGH welcome sign and a stone wall have also been damaged.

One witness who came across the crash and messaged the Chronicle & Echo said: "I don't know how they managed it."

The driver is now reportedly inside the hospital being treated for minor injuries to their hand. No one else was injured in the incident.

Billing Road was briefly closed after the crash while two Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue crews lifted the car away with a crane mounted on a fire engine. The road is now open again.
