This newspaper has partnered with the Irchester-based Animals in Need charity to help find their rescue dogs loving homes.
Charity boss Annie Marriott said: "When people adopt a rescue, they save two dogs: the one they bring home and the one that gets the empty kennel. Their lives often depend on it. All our dogs are neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, parasite-treated, and come with four weeks of free insurance, a session with dog behaviourist Nathan Watson, and rescue support for their entire lives.
"If you're interested in welcoming one of our dogs into your home, please email [email protected]. We always conduct a home check and cannot rehome dogs to families with children under five years."
Please visit the Animals in Need website to check the full adoption guidelines and rules around rehoming a rescue dog.
Below are the latest dogs needing rehoming this week, with descriptions provided by Annie.

6. Winnie
Winnie is a very pretty two-year-old Goldendoodle. She knows basic commands, is house trained, and is great with other dogs. Winnie is shy when she first meets strangers, but curiosity soon gets the better of her. Photo: AIN

7. Piper
Piper is a large, calm, and gentle nine-year-old Husky cross boy. He is house trained, knows basic commands, travels well, has a good recall, and takes everything in his stride! Piper was rehomed by us many years ago but sadly had to come back due to a marriage breakdown. Photo: AIN

8. Maple
Maple is a four-year-old Boxerdor who came to us from a council pound. She is full of fun and has so much love to give. Maple moved to foster care because the kennels were just too stressful for her; she is currently in foster with seven other rescue dogs! Her ideal home would be an active one, with another confident, friendly, neutered dog to play with, and older children. Maple loves everyone but she is very boisterous! She is clean in the house, knows basic commands, and has good recall to her chosen person. She is used to home comforts and would prefer a home where she is allowed on the furniture and even your bed! She travels well, though she does get anxious getting into the car and needs encouragement. However, she has become much more confident with this and now jumps in on her own! 👏👏 Maple loves toys and chews, and she is very food motivated, so it's easy to get her attention. She loves human interaction and would not want to be left for long hours. Photo: AIN
