A local man is being praised for his kindness after he supported a small business by buying a bundle of chocolate to treat children who rely on food banks.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous and to only be referred to as ‘John’, visited Wendy’s Sweet Shop in Weston Favell Shopping Centre last week.

So the generous customer bought 20 items of chocolate, which he then donated to Weston Favell food bank as a thank you to the team and to give out as treats for children who access the service.

Wendy, the small business owner, donated funds after John’s kindness to ensure that everyone was able to receive a treat. The shopping centre also contributed £100.

Donations to the Weston Favell food bank can be made via Emmanuel church, their unit on the upper mall or in drop off baskets located inside Tesco.
