Fourteen inspirational women celebrated in Northamptonshire on International Women's Day - as nominated by colleagues, friends and family

Today is an opportunity to celebrate the uplifting achievements of women everywhere and forge a gender-equal world.

In Northamptonshire, readers have been sending their nominations and pictures of the amazing women in their lives who they want to shout about.

Many of the women named have been support networks for others to turn to while some have been standout volunteers in the community working tirelessly to vaccinate the population against coronavirus.

If you want to nominate a strong, special woman in your life, get in touch and join in the discussion at the Northamptonshire Telegraph, or at the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
