The site will include one and two bedroom flats, as well as two to five bedroom houses.

As part of the wider site, a range of amenities are also planned for the area including a food store, a pub, a day nursery, a medical centre, a primary school, retail units and public open space to include sport pitches, play areas and allotments, as well more homes from other developers.

Plans have also recently been submitted for an Overstone Leys 66-bed care home, which will create between 50 and 60 jobs. The application is awaiting a decision.
